Creditor stabs goldsmith in Hyderabad

A goldsmith who borrowed Rs 25 lakh from his friend was attacked by him after he failed to repay.

Hyderabad: A goldsmith who borrowed Rs 25 lakh from his friend was attacked by him after he failed to repay the money.

Police arrested the creditor, Kumar Yadav, 45, while goldsmith Giri, 45, who was stabbed in the stomach, is undergoing treatment. Police said Kumar was into real estate and that both were friends. Kumar loaned money to Giri, whenever he needed it. In the last five years Kumar lent nearly Rs 25 lakh to Giri. On Sunday Giri came to Kumar’s office in Nacharam. “Giri spoke angrily. Kumar stabbed him in the stomach,” said inspector N. Pravinder.

Giri was taken to hospital and is stable now. Kumar was arrested and is in judicial custody.
