Burglar involved in 150 cases held

Hyderabad: The Keesara police on Wednesday arrested a burglar who has allegedly been involved in more than 150 cases. 

Cops also arrested a woman for providing him shelter and aiding and abetting the crime.

Gold and silver ornaments, all worth about Rs 10 lakh, was recovered from L. Uma Maheshwar Rao alias Munna of Srikakulam, who was involved in 14 cases in Hyderabad alone. 

K. Yadamma of Cherlapally, who gave him shelter and bought stolen goods from him, was also arrested.

According to the police, Munna was first nabbed by the Tekkali police in a burglary case, after which he was found to be involved in over 150 cases.

He was arrested by the police in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state in various cases.
