Bengaluru: Serial lover stole their hearts and homes too

A man who befriended women working in garment factories and committed thefts at their houses, while they were away at work.

The Angamaly Police on Tuesday busted an interstate gang of women indulged in chain snatching when they arrested two Tamil Nadu natives.

BANGALURU: A man who befriended women working in garment factories and committed thefts at their houses, while they were away at work, was arrested by the Bommanahalli police. He was involved in 19 cases and the police have recovered '12 lakh worth ornaments from him.

The accused, Manjunath, 35, is a resident of Anekal and was staying in Hongasandra in Bommanahalli.

The police said he befriended women working at the garment factories and stole their house keys from their bags and snuck out of his workplace. 

He used to enter their houses, steal valuables and then replace the key in their bags without anyone noticing it.

He used to frequently switch jobs at garment factories in search of new targets.
He was involved in more than 25 house break robberies and only 19 cases have been registered so far, out of which 15 are in Bommanahalli itself.

The Bommanahalli police have registered a case and also recovered 15 house keys from him.
