Sexual harassment: Rebbena SI suspended
Bhavanisen had also misbehaved with three women constables of Rebbena police station and forced them to attend to his household works
ADILABAD: North Zone IG Nagi Reddy on Wednesday suspended from service PVS Bhavanisen, the SI who has been accused of sexually harassing a constable job-aspirant.
“SI Bhavani Sen exhibited gross misconduct and misbehaviour with Dharma Manasa, 22, by calling her to the police station on the pretext of providing study material to her. At the station, he touched her private parts and asked her to come to his home to fulfill his sexual desire,” the suspension order noted.
The statement said the SI had also misbehaved with three women constables of Rebbena police station and forced them to attend to his household works.
“The above unethical behaviour has brought disrespect to the image of the police in the eyes of the public and thereby he violated rules 3 of APCS (conduct) and Rule 1964 of the Telangana adoption order, 2016.”
It said L Bhumesh would be the new SI of Rebbena police station and Bhavani Sen was posted in VR (Vacancy Reserve ) of Komaram Bheem Asifabad district.
