Hyderabad: 2 juveniles held for bid to rape girl

Hyderbad: Two juveniles who kidnapped a 20-year-old girl and attempted to rape her were on Saturday arrested by the Malkajgiri police. The duo has been sent to judicial custody.

According to the police, an hour after the victim Vadde Ashwini, 20, returned to her room on Friday evening, she received a call from the one of the accused, a friend, who asked her to accompany him for shopping and then sent his location to her.  

Malkajgiri inspector A. Manmohan said, “When the victim reached the location, the two juveniles abducted her and took her to Dammaiguda pond and tried to rape her. She escaped and approached the nearby people for help. The police was informed about the incident.”
