Karnataka staff kills himself in Tirumala

Tirupati: A 47-year-old man committed suicide in a restroom in Karnataka Choultry, Tirumala, on Saturday. The deceased was identified as S. Anand Kumar. He was working as a storekeeper with the Karnataka Choultry authorities in Tirumala.

 According to one town CI P. Rama Krishna, the deceased S. Anand Kumar hailed from Karnataka and had been working as a storekeeper with the state authorities which manage the Karnataka Choultry for the past 10 years.

“His colleagues noticed a foul smell coming from the restroom and informed the police, who immediately rushed to the spot and broke into the restroom. It was found that he had committed suicide by hanging off the ceiling. A suicide note was retrieved at the scene and further investigation is underway,” the CI said.
