Man held for bid to molest woman in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A man was arrested for trying to molest a woman in Mailardevpally. The suspect, P. Srinivas Reddy, 30, allegedly tried to grope her when the victim raised alarm. Locals caught hold of the suspect and handed him over to police.

The victim told police that the suspect had been stalking her for a while. “On Wednesday, the  accused followed her and tried to misbehave with her as she was walking,” said I Mahendranath, Sub-Inspector from Mailardevpally said.
The woman raised an alarm and took help from other locals.

She lodged a police complaint. “We have arrested Srinivas Reddy and booked a case under IPC section 509 (for insulting modesty of women),” said the SI.
