Hyderabad: Man arrested for selling fake electric goods

Hyderabad: The sleuths of the Central Zone Task Force along with Afzalgunj police conducted a raid at a house of an electrical accessories dealer in Maharajgunj and arrested a person and seized huge quantity of fake Havells electric wires and cables worth Rs 3.70 lakh on Tuesday.
The accused Lalit Kumar, 27, a native of Rajasthan, reportedly stored counterfeit Havells electric wires and cables at his house. He migrated to Hyderabad to do the business, the police said.
During interrogation, Lalit, the owner of Prayag electricals in Troop Bazaar, said as he was not getting enough profit from his business he decided to sell duplicate electric parts of the branded company to different shops.
The accused along with the seized property was handed over to Afzalgunj police station for further investigation, P. Radha Kishan Rao, DCP (TF) said.
