Filmmaker Sexually Harassed at KBR Park

Hyderabad: In an appalling incident that took place in full public view, a man in a car sexually harassed a 32-year-old filmmaker by exposing himself and committing obscene acts, while she was jogging at the KBR Park in Banjara Hills on Wednesday. He was subsequently booked by the police.

The filmmaker said she is a regular at the park and on the day of the incident, she found a man sitting in a black car pointing the camera of his mobile phone at her. She said that upon a closer inspection, she noticed that the man had pulled down his clothing and was fondling himself.

She said that during each of the three rounds she made of a walking track outside the park, she noticed the man unflinchingly pointing his phone at her and repeating the obscene act.

On her complaint, the Banjara Hills police registered a case and started an investigation. They have started verifying footage from CCTV cameras in the vicinity for clues about the man or the vehicle.

Based on the clues given by the victim and circumstantial evidence, police traced the car and found that the driver was in the vehicle at the time of the incident. He was traced at Mallepally and was picked up for questioning. Further investigation is in process, Banjara Hills police said.
