Hyderabad man jailed for carrying knife

HYDERABAD: The special metropolitan magistrate on Tuesday sentenced 30-day simple imprisonment under sections 61(A) & 61(B) of the City Police Commissioner Act against Khaleem Hamid who was found carrying a knife in Chandrayangutta police station limits.

The accused Hamid, a resident of Salala Barkas was arrested by Chandrayangutta police for possessing a knife. On being arrested, Hamid failed to disclose the reason for carrying the knife, police said.

After the accused was produced before the court, the magistrate sentenced Hamid to undergo 30 days of simple imprisonment.
