Hyderabad: Man stabbed after he re-marries

An anti-liquor activist is battling for life after attempting suicide as he feared arrest for involvement in a recent agitation against a tasmac liquor shop in his Padur village.

Hyderabad: Within hours of his second marriage, a 45-year-old man wsa attacked and killed by his brother-in-law in Hayatnagar.

Police said the victim, Pochagiri Yadaiah of Koheda, was married to Jyoti and had four children. Jyoti committed suicide in 2011 allegedly due to due to family harassment.

“On Friday, Yadaiah married one Bhoodevi of Rapolu, at the Ranganayakula temple in Gandicheruvu. Upon learning of this, and fearing that his sister’s children would not be looked after well, Jyoti’s brother Yadagiri, stabbed Yadaiah to death at his home. to death,” Hayatnagar sub-inspector G. Manmadha Kumar said. Yadagiri fled the scene.
