Hyderabad: 3 house burglers arrested

According to police, the offenders would select locked houses and enter them by breaking the latch of the door and would commit the crime.

Hyderabad: Gandhi Nagar police arrested three persons,  a mother, her son and her brother, for house burglaries and recovered about 1 kg of gold ornaments worth '26 lakh on Friday. The arrested were identified as Tekimudi Prasad alias Durga Prasad alias Pandu, 16, Palivela Mangayamma alias T. Manga, a 36-year-old housewife, and Tekimudi Srinivas Rao, 38, the businessman who received the stolen goods. According to police, the offenders would select locked houses and enter them by breaking the latch of the door and would commit the crime.  

“The boy is a native of Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh. About nine years back, he and his parents migrated to Hyderabad and are staying at Warasiguda. The boy studied up to Class VII but stopped his education due to financial problems and started stealing things like scrap iron from the streets. He then started targeting  locked houses. Mangayamma encouraged her son,” said the Deputy Commissioner of Police, IPS, Central Zone, Joel Davis.

 "Accordingly, on April 25, the boy came to Kavadiguda area and found a locked house at Bhagya Lakshmi Nagar and entered in from the neighbor's house by scaling over the compound wall and committed theft of gold ornaments of about 1 kg." added the Deputy Commissioner.

On Friday morning, accused persons were apprehended at Warasiguda in Secunderabad and and the stolen property was seized from the possession of the boy's mother and uncle. .
