2 killed as car rams bus in Sangareddy

Hyderabad: In a ghastly road accident on the outskirts of Almaipet in Sangareddy district, two persons were killed when the car they were travelling in got hit by an RTC bus on Friday morning. The police had to use a crane to pull out the bodies stuck in the car after which they sent the body for postmortem examination.

Jogipet sub-inspector N. Venkatesh said that the victims were identified as M. Dattu, 22, and M. Kiran Kumar Goud, 20, natives of Sangupet village and cooks by profession.

“At about 9.30 am on Friday, they were travelling to Andole in a car to pick up Kiran’s elder sister and bring her to Sangupet. Kiran, who was behind the wheel, drove car onto the National Highway 161 from the service road near Almaipet when the accident took place,” said the SI.

“An RTC bus, belonging to Narayankhed depot, which was heading towards Sangupet rammed into the car. The car got crushed and the duo inside died on the spot with severe bleeding injuries. Their bodies were stuck inside the car and a crane was used to pull them out,” he explained.

“A case under section 304 A of the IPC (causing death due to negligence) was registered against the bus driver, who has been taken into custody for questioning,” he said.
