Seven arrested, 80 kg ganja worth Rs 30 lakh seized

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) along with Bahadurpura police on Tuesday arrested seven persons involved in ganja smuggling and seized 80 kg of the narcotic worth ₹30 lakhs from them at Bahadurpura. Police also seized six mobile phones and a modified trolley from their possession.

Chakravarthy Gummi, H-NEW DCP, said, said the prime accused, Tejavath Kotesh, a native of Mahbubabad mandal, Warangal district, told them that he had purchased the vehicle last year, built hidden cabins into it for concealing the narcotic and used it to transport the contraband from AP to suppliers and peddlers in Dhoolpet,

Others arrested were Pangi Pandanna, Korra Sitaram, Korra Subbanna and Pangi Krishna Murthy from Valasagadda, Sileru, Alluri Sitarama Raju district of AP. They were selling the drug to Rakesh Singh, Bajrang and Nala Shanker who were also arrested.
