Hyderabad: 2 held with Rs 38 lakh cash

Hyderabad: The Goshamahal traffic police detected a case of illegal transportation of cash amounting to Rs 38 lakh in a cab during vehicle checking on Thursday morning. The police handed over the cash to the Abids police.

Two persons were carrying the cash, who were identified as Ashok Kumar Sharma of Rajasthan and his associate Manoj Kumar.

Goshamahal traffic police inspector Sadanand and his team was checking vehicles at MJ Market and stopped a cab (TS07 UF 2516). The two persons who were in the cab were found to be carrying Rs 38 lakh in cash.

As they failed to provide supporting documents, the police seized the cash and the vehicle. The traffic police handed over the vehicle to the Sultan Bazaar police for further investigation.
