Hyderabad: Gambling den raided, gang nabbed

Hyderabad: The Commissioner’s Task Force of North Zone on Sunday nabbed a gang involved in gambling. The accused were identified as Abothula Srinivas Rao, 40, of Begumpet, Duvva Laxminarayana, 50, of Bowenpally, K. Govinda Rao, 38, of Yousufguda, K. Murali Krishna, 47, of Bowenpally, Afzal Hassan Chowdhary, 39, of Borabanda and Sepuri Ramu, 37, of Medhipatnam.

“The accused had taken a house on rent from one Mohanlal for Rs 8,000 a month and used to invite people over to play cards and collect Rs 1,000 from each player,” said Commissioner’s Task Force DCP P. Radhakrishna Rao. The team seized Rs 52,450, playing cards, six cell phones and one groundsheet from them.
