Hyderabad: Minor held for theft bid

Hyderabad: A minor was caught stealing a mobile phone at a market on Sunday. Madannapet sub-inspector A. Madhu said the boy attempted to steal the phone of Meerpet SBI branch cashier Surender Lal, who was purchasing vegetables.

“He tried to steal the phone from the trouser pocket of Mr Lal and was caught,” the SI said. Police is trying to verify his age based on ID proof.
