Cordon and search operations in Tigul village

Hyderabad: The Siddipet police conducted a cordon and search operation in Tigul village under Gajwel division in the wee hours of Sunday. During the searches, police  seized 22 bikes and two autos plying without valid documents. The searches, conducted under the supervision of Gajwel ACP Balaji, included about 50 police personnel including Mulugu Circle Inspector and Sub-Inspectors of Jagdevpur.

During the operation, the police searched homes, commercial establishments and shops and verified the identities of the occupants. Cops said that the operation was being conducted to ensure a safe environment in the village and trace any suspects or anti-social elements taking shelter in the village. However, no suspects were found in the village during the operation. They said the owners of the vehicles which were seized would be released after valid documents are submitted for verification.
