13 arrested in murder of a rowdy sheeter

Nellore: On Thursday, police arrested 13 people in connection with the murder of a rowdy sheeter, Ande Girish, near the tourism hotel Haritha, within the jurisdiction of the Dargamitta police station in Nellore.

On October 31, the accused ambushed Girish while he was riding his motorcycle and hacked him to death.

Incharge DSP of Nellore city MD Abdul Subhani said that the accused planned the murder as they had previous enmities with Girish.

Based on a complaint from Rayapu Swathi, wife of Girish, the police nabbed the criminals at the JJJ Dhaba near the toll plaza at Budanam near Gudur on Wednesday evening.
Police seized five knives, one autorickshaw, seven mobile phones, one bike, and two scooties from the accused.
