Hyderabad: Three days after her suicide, cops have found a four-page suicide note purportedly written by Sujatha, who took the extreme step after being allegedly harassed by her landlord.

In her note, she wrote that her suicide should be a lesson for those landlords who mistreat their tenants. “Do not look down upon the tenants who stay in your house and do not mistreat them because they have no choice.  My death should be a lesson for people who rent out their homes. For the past two days, my owners have been harassing me. I cannot take this insult any more and they are responsible for my death,” the note read.

The note then asks her husband to make sure that her children continue to receive good education. Sujatha and her husband Ramakrishna were tenants at a house which was owned by Prasanna Kumar. Last Sunday, she committed suicide after allegedly being assaulted by Kumar. She wrote on the wall of the house that Kumar was responsible for her death.

Both Kumar and his wife are now in police custody. They were produced before the Kukatpally Metropolitan Court and were sent to a 14-day judicial remand on Tuesday.
