19-year-old nursing student brutally murdered in Vikarabad district

Hyderabad: A 19-year-old nursing student, who had allegedly argued with her brother-in-law on Saturday night, was found murdered and her body was found floating on a water pond on Sunday at Parigi police limits in Vikarabad district.

Following the incident, the Vikarabad superintendent of police N. Koti Reddy formed a team of police to investigate the issue and arrest the accused. It was reported that police took custody of the victim's brother-in-law and questioned him.

The victim was identified as Sirisha, 19, a Nursing student, and a resident of Kandlapur of Parigi Mandal in Vikarabad district. She was a nursing student and stopped going to college for the past two months.

The Parigi Sub Inspector (SI) Vittal Reddy said that Sirisha was found murdered by unknown miscreants and her body was thrown into a water pond at her village. The locals noticed the body floating on Sunday morning and informed to police. Police visited the place and fished out the body.

"Miscreants indulged in the brutal murder of the victim. The victim's eyes were damaged by hitting with an iron rod and made injuries on her body with a sharp knife. On Sunday night, disputes took place between the victim and her brother-in-law at her residence. Later, Sirisha left her home. Minutes after she left her home, miscreants killed her and threw her into a water pond" police said.

Police have registered a murder case and shifted the body to the mortuary for postmortem. Police took custody of suspects for questioning in connection with the case.

Sirisha was pursuing a Nursing course and she stopped going to college for the past two months after her mother is hospitalised due to a heart attack.
