HYDERABAD: Vikarabad police registered POCSO Act cases against the husband of a warden for allegedly misbehaving with students at the BC welfare hostel. Incidentally, both the warden and her husband are blind.

According to police, they received a complaint from the inmates of BC Welfare Hostel in Basheerabad alleging that the warden Sasirekha's husband Ravi was misbehaving with them.

“Ravi frequently visits the hostel and teases girls. He also abuses them using filthy language,” the students said.

Basheerabad sub-inspector Charan Reddy said that Sasirekha was ten per cent visually handicapped and Ravi was totally visually challenged. They go to the hostel every day to take care of students.

Recently, Ravi went to the hostel where he misbehaved with the hostel. Some of the students resisted him. Since then, Ravi started harassing them physically. Based on the complaint, we registered cases under POCSO Act,” the SI said.

The students lodged a complaint with higher officials against the warden for not taking care of them properly. During the internal inquiry, students came forward and informed about Ravi's illegal activities.
