Hyderabad: 120 rowdy sheeters held, counselled

South Zone police warned that they will not spare any of them until they stop their nefarious activities.

The Koramangala police have arrested two people, including a fake journalist, on charges of drug peddling and seized one kg of charas worth Rs 3 lakh from the accused.

Hyderabad: The South Zone police, based on a tip-off by the special branch, rounded 120 rowdy sheeters of the Old City on Saturday counseled them. These men were involved in goondaism, land settlements, extortion and causing public nuisance. South Zone police warned that they will not spare any of them until they stop their nefarious activities.

“Police has kept an eagle eye on them and their movement will be observed. Rowdies involving in unlawful activities will be punished under the  PD (Preventive Detention) Act,” said DCP, South Zone, V. Satyanarayana. Officials further said that out of 519 rowdy sheeters, 120 were found suspicious and were intending to involve in criminal activities in Cyberabad and Rachakonda commissionerates.
