Tamil Nadu: Two youth drown in Bhavani while bathing

Salem: Two youths who were taking bath in River Bhavani got trapped in a swirl and drowned in Erode district on Friday. 

Police said the deceased persons S Prabhu and N Gokulakrishnan, were part of a 50-member family who visited a temple in Kavundampadi near Gobichettipalayam in Erode district. 

They all took bath in the river. Unfortunately the duo were caught in a swirl and drowned,”police said. 

On receiving information, the Kavundampadi police and fire services personnel rushed to the spot and retrieved the bodies of the two persons and sent them for post-mortem at Gobichettipalayam GH.
