ACB arrests govt officers in Khammam and Mahbubnagar

Hyderabad: The ACB arrested government officers for accepting bribes in Khammam and Mahbubnagar districts on Thursday.

In the first case, Polam Sumathi, assistant labour officer, Thorrur, Mahbubnagar district. was caught red-handed for accepting a Rs 20,000 bribe. She accepted a bribe to process the labour card of a person and sanction death benefits.

In the second case, Shaik Mohammed Shah Khasim, tahsildar, Enkoor mandal of Khammam district, accepted a Rs 3,000 bribe to register the partition deed pertaining to the complainant's family members.

Sumathi and Khasim were sent to judicial remand.
