Hyderabad: A day after a senior citizen was electrocuted at a Mee Seva centre in Rajendranagar, police booked six Mee Seva officials for negligence. The police has named six Mee Seva workers who were in the office at the time of the mishap in the First Information Report.

A Section under 304 A case (causing death through negligence) has been booked against them. However, the police is yet to confirm which employee is responsible for the faulty wiring in the building which killed the man.

“We are going ahead with the investigation. After identifying the person we will arrest him,” said an official from Rajendranagar police station.

Seventy-year-old J. Ramulu who came to apply for a water connection  was electrocuted at the Mee Seva centre when he accidentally touched an exposed electric cable on the window of the building.

Police found the cable was a job done by Mee Seva employees to put an extra light bulb near the window. The cable’s insulation was torn and it was hanging by a window near the staircase to the Mee Seva centre.
