Warangal youth swept away in water in Germany

Hanamkonda: A Warangal native who went to pursue higher studies in Germany was washed away in a river and is missing, according to reports reaching here.

The victim, Akhil, 26, a native of Kareemabad of Warangal, had gone to Germany five years ago. He had gone swimming in a river along with his friends when he was swept away in a heavy flow of water. His friends called Akhil's parents and informed about the incident.

Warangal East MLA Nannapuneni Narendar visited Akhil’s house and spoke with his parents. The MLA in a Tweet sought IT minister K.T. Rama Rao’s help in searching for Akhil in Germany. According to sources, Rama Rao had spoken to officials to follow up on the matter.
