Hyderabad: Driver held for 6 incidents of chain snatching

The police recovered property worth Rs 6.5 lakh from accused.

Hyderabad: The Rachakonda police arrested driver from Kapra in Secunderabad for six chain-snatching incidents. The police recovered property worth Rs 6.5 lakh from accused, identified as Gaddan Madam Mohan, 35, of Gandhinagar, Kapra, and produced him before the court for judicial remand.

Following a series of chain-snatching incidents at Kushaiguda, Neredmet and Jawaharnagar, special teams were formed in the Rachakonda police commissionerate to arrested the accused. He was identified and nabbed near a hotel in Chakripuram crossroads on Monday evening.

Rachakonda police commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat said Madan Moha was a graduate and was work as a car driver. He had previously worked for about seven years in a pharmacy.
