Tamil Nadu: Mystery surrounds woman's death

Tirupur: An elderly woman was found murdered under mysterious circumstances inside her house and police suspect that she might have been murdered for gain. According to police, Shanthi, 54, has been residing at AVP Layout in Gandhi Nagar near Tirupur. SShanthi was staying in the first floor of her house, while two portions on the ground floor were rented out to two families. On Wednesday night, she was found murdered in her room with cut injuries on her face, hand and head. Anuparpalayam police conducted investigations as her eight sovereigns gold chain was missing, police suspect that robbers might have murdered her. Further investigations are on.
