Hyderabad: The cyber crime police nabbed a person who collected money from people by purporting to provide marriage alliances.

Police said T. Krishna 38, who ran a marriage bureau in Vanasthalipuram gave advertisements for matrimonials. A person, identified as J. Sridas from Khammam, contacted him over mobile and on his instructions deposited Rs 5,000 in an account. Krishna gave him  a contact number of the ‘bride’. After he spoke to her, he received a call from the agency asking for a deposit of Rs 3,000 in a different account.

He deposited the amount and tried to contact the agency but found that the phones were switched off. Sridas then lodged a complaint. Based on the mobile call location, Krishna was traced and arrested. Police also seized mobile phones from him.
