Hyderabad: Engineer jumps in front of train, killed

The deceased was also allegedly suffering from skin problems since a long time and he couldn't concentrate on his studies or life.

Hyderabad: A 27-year-old engineering graduate committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train on Sunday night at Seethaphalmandi.Government Railway police identified the victim as P. Sravan Kumar from Nizamabad.

According to police, the deceased had completed his B.Tech course four years ago and was on the look out for a job. He was staying at a relative’s house in Bowenpally. 

The deceased was also allegedly suffering from skin problems since a long time and he couldn’t concentrate on his studies or life. His parents shifted to Hyderabad from Nizamabad one month ago. Though he attended some interviews, he couldn’t get through it. After this, he went into a depression as he couldn’t get a job.

Murali Krishna, GRP Constable said, “On Sunday evening, around 6.30 pm the young man had left his home by saying that he was going to meet a friend and around 9.30 pm, he jumped in front of Tungabhadra Express.Though the loco pilot noticed him and alerted him through a siren, he didn’t move from the railway track. By the time, loco pilot applied brakes but it was too late.”

Government Railway Police have registered a case under Section 174 of CrPC.  Police handed over the dead body to family members, after conducting a postmortem at Gandhi Hospital.
