Worker held for stealing Rs 6.86 lakh from employer

On July 3, Amar broke into the shop and stole Rs 6.86 lakh in cash and six gold coins.

Hyderabad: A Rajasthan native who was working as a helper in a shop at Ibrahimpatnam was arrested for burgling a shop and looting Rs 6.86 lakh.

According to Ibrahimpatnam police,  Amar Singh from in Rajasthan, was working in Sri Ai Mathaji Brothers Hardware shop, of Parihar Jagadesh Chowdary at Ibrahimpat-nam for three months. A few days ago, Mr. Chowdary got Rs 7.19 lakh from a chit fund. He deposited Rs 50,000 in a bank and kept the rest in his shop. Late on July 3, Amar broke into the shop and  stole Rs 6.86 lakh in cash and six gold coins. The next morning, Jagadeeshwar lodged a complaint, said the police.

On Thursday,  Amar was nabbed from RT Colony and the stolen property recovered.
