Jayadevi’s husband Najim had already bought a butcher's knife from Monday market in Tukkuguda and all the accused were waiting for Puran in the other room.

Puran reached the place and followed Jayadevi to the room where they had spent some time later the accused Najim and his cousin brother entered the room. After a heated argument Najim took out the knife and stabbed him in the stomach and head and also slit his throat, ACP said.

Later after executing their plan the three of them left for Chandrayangutta.
