2 of a family die, 4 injured as car hits bike in Nandyal

 Kurnool: Two members of a family died on the spot and four others were severely injured after the bike on which they were riding was hit by a speeding car near Kampamallametta of Dornipadu mandal in Nandyal district on Monday. The deceased were identified as Hussain Vali, who riding the bike, and his daughter from Dudekula Sivaaram.

Hussain Vali's wife Khasimbi and their two other daughters and son suffered severe injuries in the mishap. After being informed, CI Rajasekhar Reddy, sub-inspector Thirupalu and other police personnel rushed to the spot shifted the injured persons to Nandyal government hospital and sent the bodies to Allagadda government hospital for post-mortem.

Police said the car, carrying five members, which was on its way to Ahobilam temple from Hyderabad, hit the bike in an attempt to overtake it. The driver of the car, identified as Narendra, was arrested.
