TTV Dhinakaran meets Sasikala in prison

BENGALURU: All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazagham (Amma) faction leader T.T.V. Dhinakaran, who was released on bail on June 1, met former party president and his aunt V.K. Sasikala at the Parappana Agrahara central prison on Monday.
He was accompanied by 10 MLAs and an MP of the party.
They met the jailed party leader in the evening and discussed issues related to the ongoing political developments in Tamil Nadu.Speaking to reporters after meeting Sasikala, Mr Dhinakaran said that it was his top priority to meet the party chief after his release.
“From Delhi, I went to Chennai directly after my release. It was my priority to meet the party chief, not as her nephew but as her deputy, to seek her guidance. She has advised me to stay calm for another two months and then start working to strengthen the party. I will stick to her advice,” he said.
Mr Dhinakaran was arrested on April 26 for allegedly bribing EC officials to get the party’s two-leaves symbol for its faction.
