Hyderabad: Two construction workers employed at a site in Puppalguda died after getting caught up in a ready-mix plant mixer machine, allegedly due to the operator accidentally activating the machine while it was being cleaned.

The deceased were identified as Beta Soren, 29, and Sushil Murmu, 30, both natives of Jharkhand who were working at a site developed by ASBL company.

Narsingi inspector Shiva Kumar said: “The family has been living in a camp at the site near an international school in Puppalguda village for the past two months. As part of their daily work, the duo was busy cleaning a concrete mixer, when the operator carelessly activated the machine, leading to the fatal accident.”

“A case was registered and their bodies were shifted to Osmania Hospital for a post-mortem examination,” he said.

The families of the victims, fellow workers, and staff expressed their anger and demanded justice for the family.
