ADGP B Sandhya denies lack of coordination in assault probe

Thiruvananthapuram: ADGP (south-zone) B. Sandhya has  denied the charge raised by former state police chief T.P. Senkumar that there was lack of coordination in the actor abduction and sexual assault probe.   “Even Senkumar was aware of the coordination between me and the special investigation team head Crime Branch IG Dinendra Kashyap,” Ms Sandhya said in her reply to  Mr Senkumar's letter in this regard. She maintained that she had a meeting with Mr Kashyap and other investigation team members on June 22 at Aluva to review the case. 

Mr Senkumar phoned  her at that time and he was aware that Mr Kashyap and other team members were also present at the meeting. Moreover, Mr Kashyap had called on Mr Senkumar on June 26 and briefed him about the case. A questionnaire containing 126 questions to be asked to the suspects in the case were also prepared by the investigation team, including  Mr Kashyap,  said Ms Sandhya  in the reply  given to the current   police chief Loknath Behera the other day.
