Special teams were set up by the police to rescue the child.

Hyderabad: Two girls aged below 17, went missing in the city on Thursday.

One of the girls, a resident of Balajinagar, left home saying that she was going to college, but her father got a call from the college asking him about his daughter’s absence.

In his complaint, the girl’s father said he had got a missed call from a number in the morning and suspects a boy from the Old City as he was calling his daughter continuously. Saying that she could be with him he requested the police to trace his daughter and take action against the boy.

In Ghatkesar, a 12-year-old girl, an inmate of the Eternal Joy orphanage in Ismailkhanguda village, went missing. The warden, Ms K. Nagamani, said that two persons named Venkat and Krishna who claimed to be the girl's uncles had come to visit her at the home on May 1. On Wednesday, she left the home without informing the warden. The warden said the girl went out with two persons on a bike who were suspected to be the same persons who had met her at the home.

Police filed a missing case. Police found the girl had told other children that her babai (uncle) will pick her on Thursday and she will return on May 17. Police said her relatives were also informed but they had no clue. Special teams were set up by the police to rescue the child
