Bengaluru: A man was assaulted inside Lalbagh, when tried to save the security guard from being assaulted by two people.

The incident took place on February 25, but has now come to the light after his Facebook post went viral.

The victim, Imran Khan, 31, a resident of Metro Layout in Nayanda Halli and a video editor by profession, was attacked by two men, identified as Janakethan Padu and Dinesh Mudal and hailing from Odisha.

The accused were arrested by the Siddapura police and later released on bail.

In his post Imran expressed disappointment with the public, for being mute witness and not helping him at the time of the assault.

According to the police, a family from Odisha had visited Lalbhag on February 25 and a child, who was with the family, wanted to play in the pool inside the garden.

The security guard on duty told them that he cannot let him play in the pool. The child’s father got angry and started arguing and assaulting the security guard.

Imran, who was at the spot, questioned the man for assaulting the guard for which they thrashed him.

Soon after the incident he filed a complaint with the Siddapura police who arrested the duo.
