Assistant registrar Sujatha arrested in assets case

Vijayawada: The ACB on Wednesday arrested assistant registrar Premarapogu Sujatha at Kurnool and disclosed details of the assets seized of the two remaining officials in the disproportionate assets cases it is currently investigating.

While the details of the seized assets of assistant registrar Premarapogu Sujatha were disclosed a day ago, she was arrested and produced before ACB court on Wednesday.

During the day, the ACB search of the offices, residences and assets of the three officials continued for the second consecutive day here and in Kurnool.

The ACB said it seized the assets of Arja Raghava Rao, sub registrar of the Patamatain Vijayawada in NTR district. These include: a G+Duplex house at Ramavarappadu found in the name of his wife, a vacant site in the name of his son at Puligadda Avanigadda, a flat in the name of his son at Annapurna Towers, two plots in the name of sons at Gundala, a flat in the name of his son at SBI Colony in Vijayawada, another flat at Avanigadda, two cars, two jeeps, two two-wheelers, 1,580gms of gold ornaments, cash of ₹12.71 lakh, household articles worth ₹18 lakh and promissory notes and other documents worth 'seven lakh.

Another case was of the Durga Malleswara Swamy Devalayam superintendent Vasa Nagesh. His assets located in Kummaripalem and East and West Godavari districts and at six other places were subjected to a search and scrutiny by the ACB in simultaneous searches.

His seized assets include cash of ₹1.17 lakh from his house, 209.10gm gold, a ground plus four storey house in Dwaraka Tirumala, a house in Tadepalligudem, a house in Jangareddygudem, a flat and a house in Nidadavole, a car, two mopeds. His locker in Union Bank of India’s branch at Dwaraka Tirumala was yet to be opened while searches were continuing in the evening.
