Cine hero reportedly taken into custody in a forgery and cheating case

HYDERABAD: The central crime station (CCS) police reportedly arrested Telugu film actor and producer Naveen Reddy Atluri in a case of alleged forgery and cheating on Saturday.

Naveen Reddy who had worked as a CEO of Sark N-Square, allegedly pledged its assets without the knowledge of the co-directors. On November 22 last year, Sarin Katta, one of the directors of Sark N-Square, lodged a complaint against Naveen with the CCS, police said.

Naveen Reddy allegedly forged signatures to show him as the owner of N-Square, police sources disclosed. Based on the complaint lodged by N-Square directors who stated that Naveen Reddy got `55 crore worth assets on his name, the CCS had taken up the case for investigation, police said

After registering a case, CCS police reportedly took Naveen Reddy into custody.
Naveen Reddy reportedly produced a film titled ‘No Buddy’ and acted in it. Sark N-Square Pvt Ltd was formed on March 4, 2021. A few months later Naveen Reddy joined as its CEO.

Naveen Reddy, a native of Kodipunjulagudem village, Suryapet district, Nadigudem mandal, has previously been arrested in a bike theft case (Crime No. 286 of 2022).
When contacted, a senior CCS police officer did not confirm his arrest.
