Hyderabad: 5 arrested for flesh trade, 2 girls rescued

Officials seized Rs 32,330 and six mobiles from the arrested persons.

Hyderabad: The North Zone task force conducted raids at a residence in West Marredpally which was used as a brothel and arrested three organisers, two customers and rescued two women. Officials seized Rs 32,330 and six mobiles from the arrested persons.

The accused were identified as Konda Ramesh Reddy alias Ramesh, Shamanna Chidananda, Mohd.Faizal Khan and Addapaka Kalyani. The customers were identified as Likki Rajashekar Reddy and Bommireddypalli Sanjay. 

“The prime accused, Ramesh Reddy, is a native of Kurnool. He also runs a garment unit at Kurnool town. To overcome his financial problems, he started a brothel,” said P. Radha Krishna Rao, DCP, task force. 

He came in contact with Shamanna Chidanandam from Karnataka and Mohd Faizal Khan from Kerala. “They  also engaged Addapaka Kalyani as a pimp. A few months back, Ramesh Reddy took a portion of the house on rent on street number 3 of West Marredpally. The organisers paid Rs 30,000  per week to sex workers. Kalyani arranged clients for them on commission basis. The organisers collected Rs 4,0000 from each client,” added the official.

“On Friday night, based on a tip-off, the police conducted raids and apprehended them. They have been handed over to the Marredpally police.
