Chennai: A youth from Bihar was found stabbed to death on Friday morning on the sands of the Marina beach where the police had clamped the prohibitory order under section 144 last week.

Police identified the deceased as H.Noor Hussian Ansari (21), a resident of Dr. Besant Road.  He was working in a tailoring shop at Nungambakkam for the last four years. He got married about a year ago and was living with his wife and child. He was found dead on the sands opposite the office of the Slum Clearance Board.

According to his brother Shafi Ahmed Ansari, Noor Hussian went to work on Thursday morning and never returned home. "We tried his mobile in the night. It was ringing but he never answered," he told the police.

The family came to know about the murder after a policeman from the Marina police station called Shafi to convey to him news of the murder using the victim's phone on Saturday morning.

Beach walkers noticed his body on Friday morning and the police were alerted. Police said the victim had as many as nine stab injures on his body. "We are collecting CCTV footage from the area hoping to get some clue on the murder," the police noted.
