Hash oil manufacturing gang busted

Hyderabad: Hyderabad’s Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) busted a hash oil manufacturing and supplying network operating from Hyderabad and a huge
quantity of oil has been seized. The gang procured raw materials needed for
making hash oil in the city, transported it to Vizag, where the oil was
manufactured and then transported it to Hyderabad, from where it was distributed among networks in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

As many as 60 bottles of hash oil each having 5ml of the oil, 400 litres of
petroleum ether, and a vehicle used for transportation, all worth Rs 14 lakh
have been seized, said Chakravarthy G., DCP of the H-NEW.

N. Praveen Kumar is the kingpin in the gang, who supplied raw material and
transported hash oil from Vizag and P. Kalyan, B Suresh and P Mohan are the
peddlers working for him. Praveen is supplying hash oil to 15 drug peddlers
in Hyderabad and other peddlers in Bangalore, Chakravarthy added.

According to police, Praveen Kumar has contacts with ganja cultivators in
Alagam village of G. Madugula Mandal in the Vizag agency area. He purchases
petroleum ether from chemical traders in Kukatpally and delivers them to the
cultivators in the agency area. After hash oil is manufactured, he delivers
oil to peddlers in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

On Tuesday, when he was delivering the oil to peddlers at Chikkadpally, he
along with the peddlers were nabbed and hash oil and raw material were
seized from them, said Chakravarthy.
