Five arrested in separate assault cases

Hyderabad: The Humayunnagar police on Tuesday arrested five persons in two different cases in connection with an attack at a hotel in which a food delivery boy and two others were critically injured late on Monday night.

Police said that around 8. 30 pm, Mohd Shakib, a food delivery executive,
reached 555 Hotel in Masab Tank to collect an order. While parking his
two-wheeler, an argument broke out between him and one Ahmed. “During their
argument, Shakib assaulted Ahmed and beat him up, following which a group
gathered at the spot.

Meanwhile, inside the hotel, the staffers from the kitchen negligently dropped boiling oil on the ground over some petty issue, injuring two men, later identified as Sonu and Sajjan. We have booked two different cases of these incidents and have started a probe. The injured were shifted to a hospital for treatment and a statement will be recorded from them in due time. The news reports of these two incidents being connected are false,” said Humayun Nagar inspector, K. Narayana Reddy.
