Bengaluru: The New Year security enforcement led Kodigehalli police to crack down five cases and arrest three people.

The accused have been identified as Naresh Babu, 23, a resident of J.B. Nagar, Kantharaju, 22, a resident of Chennarayapatna, and Mohan Kumar B.A., 22, a resident of Belur in Hassan district.

On December 31, the police were conducting regular checks, when an Indica car tried to evade the check. The police got suspicious, stopped the car and found many wheels from various car companies. When questioned, the trio confessed that they stole car wheels during the night in residential areas and sold them to small garages for a lesser price.

The Kodigehalli police have registered a case and solved five such cases in their limits.
