Kochi: The driver and gunman of Kollam sub collector Anupam Mishra have been suspended from service for violating the Covid 19 quarantine guidelines.

Earlier, the sub collector was suspended for violating the home quarantine and travelling to his native place in Uttar Pradesh.

The IAS officer who returned from Singapore on March 19 after a family trip was put under home quarantine. Both the gunman and the driver were also asked to remain in isolation. However, Anupam Mishra jumped the quarantine and went to his home in Kanpur, without informing the authorities. The young IAS officer’s vanishing came to notice only after two days, when the neighbours alerted the officials.

Later, the officer was suspended based on a report submitted by Kollam district collector B Abdul Nasar.

Now, both the staff members are suspended as they were found as they refused to comply with quarantine norms and went out of their homes many times.
