Muzaffarnagar: 16-year-old girl raped, one arrested

Muzaffarnagar: A person has been arrested for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl in Muzaffarnagar district when she had gone to relieve herself in the fields, police said on Friday.

The girl was allegedly raped Thursday evening. On the complaint of the victim's family, a case was registered and the accused, identified as Rohit, was arrested, a police official said.

The victim has been sent for medical examination, he said.

In another incident, a 30-year-old woman was allegedly raped by four persons Thursday, police said.

A case has been registered and a manhunt has begun to nab the four accused.
