Hyderabad: Gang held for extortion

Police have apprehend them and on questioning they confessed to the crimes committed.

Hyderabad: Five members of an extortion gang including two teenagers who were involved in several offences were caught by Rajendranagar police at Aramghar on Monday.

The police identified the accused as Muhammad Shahbaz Khan, 20, Feroz Khan,19, Mohammed Tanveer,19, Mohammed Hafeezuddin, 25, and  Mohammed Faisal, 30.

According to the police at 2 pm on Monday, the accused were roaming in a suspicious manner at Aramghar cross road. Police have apprehend them and on questioning they confessed to the crimes committed. 

The accused have committed several offences under the limits of Rajendranagar, Mailardevpally, Shadnagar and Moinabad by targeting lorry drivers who were asleep in their lorry cabin during night beside roads. Various cases like 384(Punishment for extortion) and  394 IPC (Voluntarily causing hurt in committing robbery) were registered against the accused.
