MTC conductor killed in road mishap

He was rushed to the Chromepet government hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Chennai: A 40 year old man, a conductor with the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) was killed after an overspeeding car ran over him near Tambaram during the early hours of Sunday. J Raja, a resident of Thoraipakkam works at the Madhavaram bus depot. Around 2 30 am on Sunday, Raja reached Tambaram bus terminus after night duty. He and his co workers were crossing the GST road when a speeding car hit Raja. He was rushed to the Chromepet government hospital where he was declared brought dead. Traffic investigation wing registered a case against the car driver, Muthuraj (28) of Thittakudi and arrested him.
